Fingal North Dublin Beekeepers Association (FNDBKA) are committed to compliance with best practice in data protection.

We will continually monitor and update this policy, and our data protection measures to ensure we remain compliant – and that your data is as protected as it should be.

What personal data does FNDBKA collect?

The data we collect includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, and when appropriate postal addresses. We collect this data directly from people when they apply to become a member of our association.

We also retain information provided by people when they register to attend our Beginners Beekeeping Course.

What is this personal data used for?

This personal data is used for the administration of FNDBKA’s membership, and for registration with the Membership Secretary of the Federation of Irish Beekeepers’ Associations (FIBKA) for the purpose of recording your affiliated membership, and for the purpose of verifying to the insurance provider your entitlement to cover in the event of a claim against you. The Membership Secretary of FIBKA will share your name, address and Eircode with the FIBKA Manager of An Beachaire for the purposes of arranging delivery of the magazine to you. The circulation of An Beachaire and other materials will be arranged by the Manager via a printing and mail fulfilment company or data management company to whom your details will be forwarded for that purpose. Any such company will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement limiting use of your data for the specified purpose only. Personal data is used to inform our members about the Association’s activities and events.

The data provided by people who register to attend our beginners course is used solely for the administration of the course they attend.

Who is your data shared with?

Your data is shared only with FIBKA as previously stated and is used by FNDBKA only for internal administration

However, we may be obliged to share data with public bodies to the extent that we are obliged to under law.

How is data stored?

Information is mainly stored in digital form and in the form of written documents managed by the Association’s Secretary and Treasurer, who are appointed each year at our AGM.
