If you would like to do something to assist the survival and development of the Native Irish Honey Bee but don’t have the space to host hives then you can help our association via a donation or full sponsorship of a hive in our association apiary.
Irish pollinators are in decline. The problem is serious and requires immediate attention to ensure the sustainability of our food production, avoid additional economic impact on the agricultural sector, and protect the health of the environment. All businesses need to play their part so why not provide some in-office education sessions on the importance of pollinators and the native Honey Bee in Ireland. One of our members can take your team through the major components of a hive and the various castes of bees that make up the colony and explain why pollinators like Honeybees are so important to the Irish Environment.
If you are considering placing some hives on your business premises roof or campus, then we can provide assistance, working with you to determine the optimum number of and location of the hives, provision of hives, equipment and bees
